Bright Flag Recruiting is hiring a Linehaul Dispatcher Manager (BC) on behalf of a FedEx Ground Independent Contractor operating in the Huntsville, AL area.  

This role is ideal for a motivated leader with an active CDL-A license and a passion for logistics and team development.  

 

Schedule & Compensation  

• Schedule: Flexible Remote Schedule – Provide support as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends. Participate in an On-Call rotation for urgent matters. 
• Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 annually, in addition to $0.60 CPM for drive time
• Location: Remote with weekly trips to terminal located in Madison, AL and bimonthly to Nashville, TN

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee linehaul operations ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency 
• Maintain communication with drivers and FedEx Ground hub managers 
• Build and manage a high-performing driver team 
• Conduct safety audits and coach drivers for performance improvement 
• Cover routes and provide in-truck training when needed 
• Ensure driver compliance with DOT and company policies 
• Manage fleet maintenance, repairs, and safety equipment 
• Monitor fleet cameras, ELDs, and maintain licenses and insurance 
• Follow up on VEDR incidents and DOT reporting requirements

 

Requirements 

• 5+ years of logistics/transportation CDL driving and/or management experience needed – no safety incidents ever!  
• FedEx BC or Ops Manager Experience a major plus  
• CDL required (for moving trucks and needed to cover routes as needed) 
• Doubles endorsement will be required prior to starting 
• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.  
• Working knowledge of HOS and VEDR equipment preferred
