As a Fleet Mechanic, you’ll support maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles, including vans, step vans, and box trucks. Responsible for timely, quality, and cost-effective repairs to keep the fleet running safely and efficiently.

Compensation & Benefits 

• Competitive Pay: $75,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience

Schedule & Location 

• Full-time, on-site at our Livingston terminal
• Flexible/variable schedule with early morning start required (~7:00 AM)
• Dispatch window 8:30–10:30 AM; some afternoons as trucks return

Responsibilities 

• Perform accurate and efficient service, including:  
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs 
  • Preventative maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles 
• Inspect, replace, and repair defective parts 
• Maintain clear, organized maintenance records 
• Communicate effectively with team members and management 
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and in-cab systems 
• Complete minor body repairs as needed 
• Manage parts inventory and communicate needs 
• Respond to after-hours service calls when required 

Qualifications 

• 1–5 years of truck/fleet maintenance experience 
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Must submit to a background check and drug test (paid for by FedEx)  
• Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles 
• Mechanically inclined and able to work independently 
• Military background welcomed but not required
